What the site does
Bizsproutiq exists for one stage of getting a website: the part before anyone starts building. The guides explain how to decide on pages, content, features, platform, domain and budget. The tools turn those decisions into text files you can keep. A plan made here belongs to you, and it is written so that any builder can quote from it.
The site covers the United Kingdom only. Rules on cookies, privacy notices, company details, VAT and selling online differ between countries, and the guides link to UK sources such as GOV.UK, the Information Commissioner's Office, the Competition and Markets Authority and legislation.gov.uk.
Who writes it
Guides are written and maintained under the byline Hannah Scott, the name used by the site's editor and writer. The author page explains what the byline covers and how to send a correction.
How the site is paid for
The guides and tools are free and carry no adverts and no affiliate links. The site is paid for by three optional services from its owner: a planning session, which is a paid video call ending in a written summary, a written website plan, and build quotes for people who want a site built from their plan. The owner's wider commercial interest is set out once, in the footer note.
That interest is the reason the guides are written to work without buying anything. Each guide ends with what you can do yourself, and the plan you write with the tools can go to any builder.
How guides are checked
Every factual claim about a law, a tax rule or how a search engine behaves is checked against a primary source, and that source is listed at the end of the page. Where only a secondary source was available, such as a law firm summary, it is labelled as secondary. The full process, with dated corrections, is written up in the editorial policy, page by page.
The site does not publish client stories, star ratings, testimonials or results figures. The examples page uses invented businesses and says so.
What the site will not tell you
Some questions have no general answer. What a website will cost you depends on the scope and on who builds it, so the budget estimator asks for your own figures instead of quoting a price. Whether a particular rule applies to your business may depend on facts only you or an adviser can check. In those places the guides say so plainly and point to the official source.
